Without doubt if this track is anything to go by Amber Simone is a name you will be hearing more and more of over the coming months. This track genre less in its brilliance leaves you just wanting more and more and more. Her incredible vocal leaving you to question whether it is a boy or a girl is class and the production is off the chain and hard to define as anything other than DOPE. Get to know peeps get to know.
Sometimes an artist comes along that wasn’t on your radar and just delivers a quality product that just makes you stop and applaud. No words needed just an appreciation of the quality you have just heard. This is how i’m feeling about Shiv’s “About Time” EP that just dropped. A real poised slice of RnB Soul that just sounds complete. The track below “Refuge” is a prime example of how good this project is and what a sensational vocalist Shiv is. Go check it out and get involved.
Its been the longest time coming but fresh from supporting Julian Marley Dionne ReId gives us a first taster of her forthcoming mixtape”Soundcheck”. This is some proper Reggae with Dionne’s trademark soulful vocals over the track. She sounds great and if this is anything to go by this mixtape will be FIRE!
The Are We Live crew Barney Artist, Jordan Rakei, Tom Misch and Alfamist set out on a new task to come together and record a song in 1 day and here is the first result and it is AWESOME. Everything about this is so dope. Love the keys that drive the 1st part of the song and the way they are able to switch it to allow the guitar to dominate the 2nd half of the track. They all contribute to what is a killer track… RIDIDCULOUS give it a listen and download.
A couple of years ago GREEdS and The Remedies were pushing boundaries with their live music and poetry live set. I think this is the first time I can say someone has pushed the live music poetry sound to a new place. Kojey Radical is powerful with a vocal that demands your attention so it is awesome to hear a band support that vocal so well. Not over powering it or be in awe of Kojey but working with him to give a great overall sound.
Awesome. Shout out Tea Room Sessions for great visuals.
Yes boys yes Greg Dwight takes a verse on Sincerley Wilson’s “Chains” and gives his own perspective on it as well as allowing us to enjoy his stunning vocal. I’m pretty sure i’m not the only person out here thinking and wondering when is Greg Dwight gonna give us that FIRE!!! This track is only going to add more people to that list.
This is Ill. The first cut to be featured from the forthcoming Nang/Ralph Hardy project Growing Pains 2 sees vocalist Sipprell teaming up with producer Melo Zed and it is a match made in heaven. Melo provides some insane fresh production choices whilst Sipprell treats your ears to some gorgeous runs and tones that compliment the beats perfectly. Tune is so strong these two need to be working together more in the future.
A really enjoyable acoustic Get Lifted Session featuring Riccy Mitchell. A catchy chorus with some nice chord choices too. Riccy’s vocal is also sublime adding to the sweetness of the song and performance. Its the kind of track that you will love more and more with every listen so do just that listen and enjoy.
Shout outs GetLifted as always.
