More vocal excellence from Raff as he performs for Get Lifted here in the Sunshine. Taking on one of the best tracks from Lianne La Havas latest album “What you don’t do” this is short sweet and simply sublime. Pure quality!

YES MI’DAS YES!!!! Taking on Lianne La Hava’s massive “Its What You Don’t Do” for a Reload Session and he completely owns! Using his loop pedal and guitar to perfection building a superb platform for his voice to just shine on the track. Simply gorgeous. He owns this tune makes it completely his own. Brilliance!

Not sure who’s bright idea this was but they deserve a rise this is exactly the kind of combination that we need to see more of. So much goodness to love in this. Tom Misch jumps on the latest Lianne La Havas album track giving it a wonderful makeover in his own likeness and it is so good. A head bopping jam with some gorgeous guitar licks all the way through. Epic love it!!!

This is a wonderful peaceful piece of work from Purple Ferdinand. 3 short tracks of pure and simple beauty. The EP is just vocals and the ukulele giving it a pureness and softness that helps seperate it from so much of the acoustic music that is out there. You could say there is a voice and sound vaguely reminiscent of Lianne La Havas but personally i don’t think there is any need for comparisons, she is an emerging star in her own right making beautiful music. Will not be long till we hear and see a lot more of this gifted singer songwriter.

The EP is free to download here.

This is just wonderful. Covers can get a little boring sometimes with so many artists dropping them left right and centre i do just crave to hear their original material. When its done like this though i can only enjoy. Singer Songwriter Kayla L’ayton delivers a sublime vocal rendition of Lianne La Havas “Lost & Found” no mean feat making one of the songs of last year your own but she does it and in some style to. This is someone you definitely need to be keeping your eye on in 2013 with her EP imminent. For now just enjoy this quality again and again.

The Soul features team caught up with lady of the moment Lianne La Havas and had a chat with her about her music and her steady rise and evolution into a successful artist. There is also some footage of her performance in Birmingham. Loving her openess and honesty regardless of her vocal ability i don’t think you can’t not like her looks like she will be getting the chance to bring her music to the masses and i can’t wait to see it happen.
