Just over a week ago Kai Jones dropped her new project. I’ve been a big fan since her first one dropped and have been looking forward to the new material to come and it didn’t disappoint. This is my favourite cut quite soulful production from Damien Cooke and reminiscent of quality 90′s HipHop RnB. Kai takes on the hook as well as rapping and does a great job. Tune has a nice vibe to it and just keeps your head nodding. More to hear on the mixtape check it out here.

Been sleeping on this new video for a couple of weeks, but I am wide awake now this is dope! The new visuals from south London (always have to throw that in) native Kai Jones is a beaut. Fresh and innovative I really like the simple effectiveness of what she’s done with the visuals here, especially the intro!!! As always with Kai the beats and her lyrics are dope but for me this is all about the visual big step forward Kai loving it!

Another interview from Get Lifted’s Streetfest Series where they sat down and spoke to different acts that featured on the unsigned stage this year. Here they catch up with one of our heat winners Kai Jones and talk about her influences, how she started out in Music and more.

Kai is definitely a quality artist that should be on your radar moving forward the singer/MC has a lot to offer!

Love to the Get Lifted team as always.

Video highlights from Streetfest Unsigned Stage that Music is Remedy hosted for the day. It was a beautiful day in Hackney with the Olympic stadium looking on there were some brilliant performances in the sunshine with people rocking, dancing, cheering and enjoying the show. There were too many standout moments to list them all but DivaGeek closed the stage with a ridiculously awesome set as the sun went down over the east London.

Big thanks to a all who were involved on the day bring on 2015

Young fresh and upcoming vocalist and lyricist Kai Jones recently dropped her first mix tape. The Self titled mix tape available to download for free has a range of styles with something for everyone in there. Her she has dope flow and by no means is sure talking a load of rubbish. The South Londoner deals with issues most young Brits can relate to. Featured my favourite track Just Another Story below (love the production on it) but there are another 8 tracks definitely worth checking out here.
Someone worth keeping a look out for in the future.
