Further proof that this man’s music deserves to be on bigger stages and that his live set is as good as any out there (if not better). Cynikal and his band show how it’s done on the BBC introducing stage at T in the Park. Absoloutely awesome listen through to the INSANE outro! This is live hip hop!!! GWARN!!!
Highlights from one of the best nights currently running on the circuit Vocals and Verses. Their June event at Vibe had a range of quality performances featuring Music is Remedy Favourites Rhythm of Men, Juliyaa and Cynikal plus an extreme talent that you should definitely be keeping an eye on Affie Jam.
Hats off to the Vocals and Verses team be sure to find out more about their forthcoming events here.
At a recent performance for Soundup Sessions Cynikal dropped a new track Devotion. Backed by Acoustic Guitar and Cahon its another laid back mellow number with Cyn’ picking up his flow and spitting a little harder then usual. Nice tune the rapper continues to rise and by all accounts his fan base keeps growing.
One of our favourite acts on the scene brings his full band to the Jazz Cafe for the classic Friday Night out that is Supa Dupa Fly! His live band set is off the chain and the after party is sure to be quality.

Juno Bar, 134 Shoreditch High St, E1 6JE, London,
I don’t know too many people who get a session with top UK mag Wonderland but Cynikal isn’t just anyone now is he? With the help of Jamie Graham he takes on an all time classic in Mo Money Mo Problems and giving it his own twist. Yep your right to raise your eyebrows this ain’t an easy one to take on however Cynikal focuses on putting his own twist on it and actually makes it work. The acoustic guitar is adds to the uniqueness of it taking it away from the Original. Like i said i’m feeling it but you tell me.
Catch Cynikal performing a keys and vocals set at Remedy Open next Thursday @ Juno Bar Shoreditch for FREE!
After a successful launch in March and an April break for Streetfest we are back to launch into our final Thursday of the month slot @ The Juno Bar in Shoreditch. Remedy Open is an open mic night for all vocalists out there regardless of your background, experience or style. The difference with us is that we are a keys and vocals only night. So no full bands or backing tracks or even guitars just that beautiful combination of keys and vocals. You could sing a from our list of covers, your own original song if you send it in advance or bring your own keys player down to play for you. Our hosts Raff, Kaana Ellie and Linden of The Remedies are on hand to assist.
On the night there will also be feature performances to break up the open mic and this month we feature the brilliant Hepz and Cynikal to the mic for an intimate set. Its free all night and without a doubt there will be good vibes in the place and its gonna be a lot of fun make sure you join us REACH!
I’ve said it before about this guy consistent quality output he continues delivering is pushing him places and making him better at his craft. Cynikal drops the video for “Lost” one of standout tracks from his most recent Toby EP featuring Jamie Graham on vocals. As i said at the top the visuals are quality watch this guy continue to fly!
If you haven’t already download the Toby EP here.
I think i’ve employed the outro to this tune about 6 times now and i don’t intend on stopping. This is absolutely OFF DA CHAIN!!! I love the fact that they could end it and they don’t they just keep it going and when they do end it they drag the hell out of it and absolutely OBLITERATE IT!!! LOVE THAT LIVE MUSIC FULL BAND EPIC SHIT!!!
Now that i’ve got that out of my system the rest of this full live set from Cynikal and his performance at Roundhouse Rising last week is pretty dope. Performing tracks from his most recent Toby EP it is a quality live set that brings those songs to life. This is why it is so important to INVEST in you live musicians and sets and rehearsals just as important as a film crew! Too many people mug off musicians but when its done right if the effect it can leave is can make the heart skip a beat! Hats off to Cynikal his progression and evolution as an artist is wonderful to watch and a great example for all to follow. And if you don’t watch the whole set at least watch the last 3 minutes some epic badbowy live music ish right there! BIG!!!
Last Sunday Cynikal had his first performance of 2014 with an acoustic set at Acoustic Sundays. One of the hardest working rappers around produced a quality performance armed with some fine musicians by his side (Matt the guitarist is particularly brilliant throughout) and it was all captured featuring tracks from his most recent Toby EP and probably my favourite track from his Breakfast EP the J Cole refix “Loosing My Balance”. Jamie Graham also sounding great on vocals! Fully expect this guy to continue rising throughout 2014 keep your eyes on him!
Props to Acoustic Live for providing the platform and capturing the performance a great free event on the roof of box park follow them here.
