One of my favourite cuts from Tom Misch’s Beat Tape 2 project is this one featuring Loyle Carner “Nightgowns”. Captured by the Mahogany sessions this is to quote them a “gorgeous” acoustic live version of the track with the beauty of the guitars and double bass really compliment Loyle’s tone and flow. This is dope!

Tickets for Tom Misch’s first live headline show go on sale this Friday.

I know I posted an acoustic session from this artist last week and yes it is the same song but…. what a song it is! Beautifully captured by Mahogany Sessions Rukhsana Merrise performs her sublime “So They Say” down by the river. Can’t get enough of her sound style and voice… quality.

So this guy has been all over the blog this year and without question Tom Misch is one of my standout acts from 2014. However it has always been his productions i’ve been raving about, there hasn’t really been any footage of him performing. Well the good people at Mahogany changed that capturing this wonderful performance of Tom and Carmody’s track “Release You”. Joined by a Cahon player the two grab guitars and proceed to deliver a gorgeous rendition of the track with loads of beautiful moments which actually make me like it more than the recording! A superb slice of acoustic folk soul enjoy!

More lovely acoustic soul gold from the supreme talent that is JP Cooper. Filmed out in the sunshine by the good peoples at Mahogany Sessions they capture this performance perfectly. The serene sun lit garden setting is suites the feel and mood of the song so well. Cooper as always is sounding awesome the future is looking extremely bright.

If you like this pick up his new EP is available here.

I really like this. Kay Young has been making waves on the circuit for a little while now and the team at Mahogany Sessions reached out to film her in action and she made sure it was special. Keys double bass and HORN SECTION?!?!? Yes Kay YES very big and it all sounds great!!!
Big up Mahogany sessions for the footage!
