Some old soul goodness from Kwabs taking it to church. This is gorgeous and even more reason for you to invest in his album if you haven’t done already. Loving the bridge and the chorus of vocals running throughout. Visuals ain’t to shabby either. Say what you want about the industry but the Kwabs campaign has been a job very well done! Salute!
Just over a week ago Kai Jones dropped her new project. I’ve been a big fan since her first one dropped and have been looking forward to the new material to come and it didn’t disappoint. This is my favourite cut quite soulful production from Damien Cooke and reminiscent of quality 90′s HipHop RnB. Kai takes on the hook as well as rapping and does a great job. Tune has a nice vibe to it and just keeps your head nodding. More to hear on the mixtape check it out here.
Lifelines dropped a new beat last week and even though it’s pretty short it’s definitely worth a post. He calls it a tribute to D’angelo and certainly the way the Rhodes dominate the track partnered with a strong Hip Hop beat you could say he has captured the lightness of D’angelos first album and the beats of his second. There is also a nice fun flow to the lyrics making the 1 minute 23 enjoyable and all too short!
Jermaine Reily continues his track a week drop with more quality RnB production and his trademark Vocals all over it. He continues to show us all just how much of a class act that he is.
Last month Terri Walker put on a special night showcasing her current album “Entitled” at Under The Bridge featuring as well as her own full set performances from The Floacist, Dora Martin and Hayley Cassidy. Highlights were captured by the brilliant ADTV crew who have spliced footage with interview clips of Terri talking honestly about herself, her journey and the new album. She sounding and looking great and hearing her speak only makes me want to buy the album more. She has waved the flag for UK music for sometime now, setting high standards and achieving so much a true inspiration and undeniably one of the best the UK has ever had! Salute to you Terri!
The album Entitled is out NOW available here.
I’ve been a little late finding out about the insane quality contained within this lady’s vocals however I am thankful I have found it in time to shout about this new single. London based singer Juliet Hudson drops this lead single from her forthcoming EP “Lucid” (which drops next week). I can’t say i’m overly keen on the production choices however it is still extremely strong and polished piece of work. Her vocal is without question off the chain! I really can’t wait to hear the rest of the EP and I really need to see this lady live!!!
The coming together of two Music is Remedy Favourites Jodie Abacus drops a new tune produced by the brilliant Royce Wood Junior. It is a Funk Soul 70′s Brit Rock quirky head bopper that you appreciate more and more with each listen. The type of collab that doesn’t happen enough love it!
The rise of Jodie Abacus continues!
