This is simply RIDICULOUS!!! I can’t get over just HOW GOOD this is! Flawless vocal performance showing a massive range, great technique and a voice full of character. Good songwriting is so undervalued but it makes all the difference and this is fine example of a great song. Love those Keys too, just loving everything about this tune. I know very little about this guy but i can’t see that staying the same for very long surely destined for big things.

A bit of class for your Wednesday Morning. Szjerdene singing this classic Jazz Standard out in Amsterdam. Gorgeous performance and the band compliment her oh so nicely check out the solos at the end off the hook! Love that Szjerdene isn’t doing the normal acoustic guitar performance that we are seeing a lot of at the moment. This shows versatility and the quality she has. Can’t wait for this lady’s album.

Powerful piece here from rising wordsmith George The Poet. Very honest and very well delivered speaking truths that need to be told. This is the kind of thing kids in school should be watching with a warning of how things could turn out. Quality stuff here sure you’ll be seeing more from George here.

Short Clip from DivaGeek’s performance at Wired a couple weeks ago and their tribute to Whitney. Quality as she says album is out in APRIL!!!

Soul Features drop there first session video and they picked one of our favourite ladies for it. Martyna Baker has so much quality and shine on this video. Awesome vocal and i love the way the song picks up towards the end and she takes it to another place. Wicked Tune! Big up  Soul Features on the video

Having given much time to Whitney tributes over the last couple of weeks but this is something really special and beautiful.  Shanay Holmes an up and coming UK vocalist shines on this cover and makes it her own in places which is no mean feat given the standards the original sets. Bringing the Sax in is a touch of genius. Yes i may be biased but i can’t be the only person getting a little bit tired of all the acoustic guitar and vocal performances going about. It doesn’t take much to throw something else in the mix and if its rehearsed and you get it right the benefits are massive as is shown in this recording. The Sax just sounds lush and works with vocal quite beautifully. Fantastic stuff again from the Reload Sessions.

Awkwardly stylish came to mind whilst spectating the BRIT Awards 2012, celebrating the British Music Industry tonight (21st February 2012). It was almost as if a certain amount of “prestige” was trying to be portrayed which wasn’t really there. James Corden who hosted the night was interrupted on two occasions whilst introducing acts; by artists in the audience walking across the screen. This did however create a little humour for the show and broke up the pretence of the show.

The main highlights of the night were UK’s blazing hot solo artists of the moment Adele and Ed Sheeran both scooping two awards each tonight. The astounding Adele has already won 6 Grammys within the last two weeks and now has two BRIT Awards for both British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year to add to her mantelpiece which she proudly accepted with the words: “Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year. I’m so proud to be British and to be flying the flag.” She also went on to serenade the audience with a flawless performance of her number one single Rolling in The Deep. This is a proud moment for all of us as it is so refreshing to see UK talents shine in their rightful glory. Adele has soared to new heights and has had an amazing music career so far. We can only imagine what is coming next from the beautiful superstar. Adele we salute you, keep knocking those pillars down in this crazy music industry.

Watching Ed Sheeran perform at the BRIT Awards could not have been any more heart warming as he has performed with The Remedies on a number of occasions, including Ed taking part in a Remedy Live gig as well as featuring The Remedies on his Live at the Bedford CD/DVD. His epic performance of his hit single Lego House is definitely a moment that will go down in Remedy history. Ed most deservingly won British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act with an admirable modest acceptance speech; “I honestly didn’t think I would get this one. I want to thank my family, the fans, every single promoter that has ever booked me, every single radio DJ that has ever played me and my label.” Ed is nothing short of remarkable and we hope to see many more awards going his way. We are extremely proud and honoured to have had the pleasure of our live band The Remedies share a stage with the incredible man himself.

Other performances on the night included: Florence and the Machine, Olly Murs, Bruno Mars and Rihanna. Bruno Mars wowed the audience with his mesmerising vocals and smooth charm and delivered a top notch performance (as always).

I don’t know much about this lady but this is very nice. Covering Lana Del Ray’s “Video Games” she does a very good job of it. Lovely vocals and tone nothing amazing however but it is very good. Will be looking out for her own material. Big up Reload sessions on another great Video!

The good people at Upshot present their new series Upshot Poetry featuring some of the best poets around reciting pieces for the camera.  This video features one of my favourite performers Deanna Rodger. She always brings passion and power to every performance and very rarely disappoints. Watch listen and enjoy.

Plenty more to come.

These guys set the standards I really hope they are given the platform they deserve to shine on! BIGNESS!

Something a little romantic as we are in the season of love. Key Words is the combination of spoken word champion G.R.E.E.d.S and the insanely gifted instrumentalist Yasmin Baker. The pair came together after working with The Remedies and admired each others art and decided to work together. Their artforms combine beautifully here and the visuals are without a doubt just as beautiful. Expect more from this pair!

Another brilliant Shakkapella from the man like SHAKKA!!! This time he takes on HipHop’s new rising star Azealia Banks’ 212 and throws in a little bit of Chris Brown’s Beautiful People. This is pretty BIG! Shakka shows by no means is he just a singer he has mad flow and can ride any beat! As always love the energy that he gives just makes you want to keep watching. BIGNESS whats he gonna do next??? Don’t forget to vote for Shakka in the UK mitape awards we all know Shakka Crown Affair needs to be winning!!!  Big up House of Alt for the quality visuals.

This is a little bit special. I don’t know too much about this guy but his vocal is Insane!!! Covering the industry’s latest darling Lana Del Reys “Born To Die” He absolutely DESTROYS the tune. Wonderful performance i need to see this guy live definitely one to watch! Big up The Reload Sessions for another great Video.

This is simply stunning. Flawless vocal performance, gorgeous strings and keys and some awesome visuals. Mary Anne Hobbs has been championing this on XFM this week and rightfuly. More music to come from this duo this year for now though sitback and enjoy this brilliance.

Our good friends @ We Plug Good Music pointed us in the direction of London singer songwriter Mide and his ep “City Lights”. Its 3 tracks of friendly laidback acoustic soul and it is very nice very nice indeed. Mide has a lovely vocal tone and uses a nice range of instruments. My favourite would be “Any Which Way” just has a nice feel to it perfect for spring! Still think there are improvements that can be made but its definitely a great start and worth checking out have a listen and download for free below.

UK HipHop producer and DJ extraordinaire Eric Lau prepares to drop his new EP alongside MC Guilty Simpson next week and it is off the HOOK!!! 7 tracks of head bopping bangers and basslines with gorgeous keys synths and vocals. Eric talks more about the project and what it is all about in this video. Below is one of the tracks yesterday to give you a little taster of what to expect.
