One of the vocalists we will be seeing a lot of in 2012 Daley drops his first official video. The video is very slick he’s sounding and looking great song maybe not the strongest but i’m sure there will plenty more good things to come from him. Enjoy.
Got nothing but Love for Matti Roots. One of the baddest Soul Funk acts around, awesome vocalist musician and songwriter and sounds just as good live as he does on the record. Footage here from his performance at Flavour Live earlier this month and they have a quick chat with the man too. Quality enjoy! EP is available here.
Music maniac Shakka blesses Beyonce’s explosive End of Time track with his Shakkapella magic. It’s a beautiful blessing to hear and everyone should experience it! Check it out here..
The dancing poet Mister James Massiah earlier this month launched a new quarterly show in Shoreditch (where else) where he performed newly composed tracks with The Remedies. There was a great atmosphere in the place and as always The Remedies delivered a RIDICULOUS display of musicianship whilst James gave another brilliant performance. This was probably the track of the night an Outkast cover that James makes his own…dope! Shouts to Complex Elite for the great footage and look out for Adrian Remedy’s Ridiculous guitar solo #BADMAN!
This is pretty dope. The vocals are quite simply superb. Kelli Leigh is a singer based in South London and another student of the famed Brit School. Having just finished touring on backing vocals duty for Adele she is now preparing to launch her EP next week and if this short rehearsal clip is anything to go by 1. She is gonna put on a RIDICULOUS show and 2. The songs on the EP are gonna be pretty sick too. Details for the launch arehere go check it out.
Not the greatest footage in the world but the quality of the vocals shine through and is definitely worth a listen. Sherry Davis has been working the unsigned scene for a little while impressing audiences with performances behind the keys. Backed by a full band the songs sound even stronger and it also provides a great backdrop for her awesome vocal to shine through. Judging by this performance i think you’ll be hearing more from this lady!
This guy is gonna be massive. Fresh from his performance on last night’s Jools Holland show checkout the video for the first single from his third EP dropping in January. Can’t get over the brilliance of his vocal. As i said he will be massive!
Kersha Bailey talks about herself and her forthcoming album dropping in the new year. This lady is DOPE, and i for one can not wait to hear her new music!
Big fan of the work of Musa Okwonga and last week he dropped some new visuals for his latest project The Kings Will where he combines his poetic genius with producer Giles electronic beats. The results as you can hear are quality and Naomi Gilbert has come up with some funny fitting visuals to tell the tale of the track. The guys launch the project at the next Poejazzi next month get your ticketshere.
Incisive and Shakka team up again to bring us a remix of Wretch 32′s Traktor and quite frankly it is OFF DA HOOK!!! They’ve chopped up the Traktor beat and made it their own dope beat. Incisive’s flow and lyrics are on point as always whilst Shakka’s energy helps to push the track up a couple notches. Big BIG tune if you’re feeling its free to download here.

This was the first time I’d seen Tracey and Tom in action since they debuted their sound last summer. Since they had dropped a dope video and amassed a range of quality reviews from the press and a strong following. I was interested to see their growth… Disappointed I was not.
Tracey was electric on stage. Her presence on stage was immense you couldn’t take your eyes off her. Even those not too sure about the sound were drawn in. As for the beats well Tom has successfully taken the sound of noughties garage and made it into their own. The production made me feel like I was taken back in time (and different era) and couldn’t help but skank like I was in a rave 10 years ago!
Its a very impressive package and one you are gonna be hearing a lot more of trust me get your hands on the EP NOW!
Theo takes to the streets again but this time goes solo singing once again a range of classic RnB cuts. It can not be denied the boy can sing and does every number justice. Someone you are definitley gonna want to keep your eye on moving forward!
Consecutively after his debut EP ‘Volume in Silence’ in 2009, Yomi ‘G.R.E.E.D.S’ Sode has teamed up with the live band The Remedies to birth spoken word into a new realm. Entitled ‘Ready,’ G.R.E.E.D.S explains:
“Ready is a transition from the dark to a more comfortable place”
As the first track drops, immediately it is clear that this is not your normal everyday spoken word EP. His lyrical generosity is not scarce and his intelligent play on words paints a vivid picture for you.
“Research my ingredients from scratch and I start stirring. Jamie, Ainsley and Ramsay are like rahhh that boy can cook a spoken word dish I kid you not.”
There are no secrets from G.R.E.E.D.S whilst listening to this EP as he is real, he is raw and his nude words may shock but they will sit with you comfortably as he glides through various topics such as; sharing an intimate moment with a lover to becoming a product of your environment. G.R.E.E.D.S’ genius speech dances over the drum patterns in tracks such as ‘We Are and ‘Ready,’ creating a crazy vibe where you can’t help but mean mug and allow the beat to consume your feet.
G.R.E.E.D.S teases your imagination with ‘Only Me,’ featuring Wilson Atie. This track is beautiful, it is sensual and G.R.E.E.D.S expresses his admiration for the voluptuous Nubian princess anatomy. Wilson’s voice nurtures the beat and completes this piece. Dionne Reid also features on this EP, in ‘Be Bold.’ Dionne’s soul warming voice enhances this uplifting feel good track.
It isn’t often that you are presented with an EP that goes above the norm and beyond. Spoken word has been ruptured by G.R.E.E.D.S’ talent to in my opinion create his own genre of spoken word with the ability to Generate Rhymes to Engage the Enlighten Soul. For the lovers of spoken word this is definitely one for you and for everyone who appreciates real talent this is for you too!
“G.R.E.E.D.S has married spoken word and a live band into perfect musical matrimony to create this masterpiece that is, ‘Ready.” KM Scribbles
Its been great to watch this guy’s rise to prominence. Mike Kiwanuka sound is simply beautiful. Relaxing and calm it as if the music is taken from a different age and time. Simply gorgeous. This track will be taken from his third EP released on January 1st 2012 i for one can not wait!!! Checkout his previous releases here.
This is SICK!!! For all lovers of RnB classics and HARMONIES you need to listen to this. Theo LLewellyn takes a break from keys duty to smash it up on lead vocals whilst two people we give plenty of Remedy love to Enrico Delves and Julie Iwheta are on BV duty. Too Heavy this will be the soundtrack to my day!
New music from beats master that is Eric Lau. Amazing to see just how this far man has come now rocking parties all over the world on DJ duties, teaching young people in London how to produce and working with some of the best artists to produce amazing tracks and this new beat is no different. The beat is tuff, synths haunting and guilty blesses the track very nicely. Single is released on Killawat music on Nov 18th be sure to check it out!!!
Last week we posted the excellent video for The Stow’s latest track “Lifelines” . Here is some behind the scenes footage taken on the day of the shoot with the band and director check it out!
Heard a few things about this guy but not actually seen him perform yet however judging on this performance I’m sure it won’t be long before we get him on a Remedy line up. Couple of poems here showing his character and a bit of what he’s about. Great interaction with the crowd and a really strong performance. Looking forward to seeing more from Chaleboy The Poet. Big up to Lovelounge for the visuals doing a lot of good work on the live scene!

Mikill Pane recently headed up to Manchester for a performance promoting his new EP Guiness & Blackcurrant. Street Starz got the superb Julie Iwheta in front of their cameras for an accoustic performance of her single “Don’t Cry” and it sounds bloody lovely!!! Enrico Delves backs her up with some very noice harmonies and the tune sounds great. Single to drop soon!

I was very happy to get a message from Martyna with a link to this EP attached to it, and on my first listen I was instantly hooked. Miss Baker has been blessing stages in and around London for a while now, including being on the line-up for the renowned Camden Crawl festival. If you have been lucky enough to see her live then you will already know how talented she is, and this EP definitely showcases it in full effect. I will definitely be posting more brilliance from this lady.
