Music is Remedy host the “On The Rise” stage at Streetfest on Saturday September 15th Dalston once again bringing some of the best emerging artists on the UK scene to the Streetfest party. An eclectic line up will deliver a range of different styles and performances from the Vortex bar overlooking the rest of festival from 2pm -6pm

On the bill

Billy Dukes are two artists coming together Intalekt who is known for his work with UK breakthrough stars Jacob Banks, Kojey Radical, Jay Prince and more . Whilst GeeFree has style many compare to MF Doom. His cool calm yet powerful voice is perfect for the Dukes soulful brand of HipHop that can be found on their debut project The Intervention!

Dionne Reid is a charismatic singer songwriter from south London. This brilliant artist can be described as Soulful tones with a colourful twist; simple melodies, honest music. Expect Reggae expect Soul expect pure goodness!

Mide is a sing songwriter known for his alternative soul sound that has seen him compared to the likes of James Bay and Michael Kiwanuka.

Ruth Ellen is a South London Soul Singer/Songwriter whose fresh melodic approach to her music is inspired by a mixture of Gospel, Jazz, Hip Hop and Pop.

Julie Iwheta No stranger to the Streetfest stage performing at the 2015 her powerful, soulful and captivating vocal will leave you rocking.

Kareem Parkins Brown is bringing the Spoken word. This former Barbican Young Poet has had his work featured at venues across London and now Streetfest

Sooskie North London based singer brings elements of soul and pop to her elctro genre blending productions. Her quality vocal is the Icing on the cake.

Ewan J Philips is an alternative singer songwriter. Inspired by the sounds of Damien Rice, Lorde and Joni Mitchell to name a few this exceptionally gifted musician creates breathtaking music with an outstanding vocal to boot.

Scrulove is an artist producer from the heart of East London with an eclectic style that will get any party started right. He rocked with us in 2015 and will be rocking again in 2018.

Its been a long time coming but the original Remedy night that started it all is returning on Thursday April 7th 2016. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first Remedy night @ The Oh Bar in Camden. We spent 2 and a half years making some incredible memories and delivering some special moments.

As we begin to mark 10 years of Remedy we will be launching a new Remedy night to take back that famous first Thursday of the month slot that saw us build our brand and create some amazing nights.

In our new home Stereo 92 you’ll be able to hear some of the best emerging talent in the country in a warm intimate setting like you have never heard them on the circuit before. Strictly UK and as always the best in Hip Hop, Soul and Spoken Word. Plus enjoy some amazing food before and during the show!

To relaunch we have a jam packed line up of insane quality including Jermaine Riley, Che Lingo, Chloe Blackwell, Tania Nwachukwu and Pierre Da Silva. Its all live and hosted by myself Ash Remedy and the incredible talent that is Enrico Delves. Not forgetting the house band The mighty Remedies will be on stage too!

Oscar Laurence returns to the Stereo 92 Basement with his full band for another evening of his ridiculous jazz, soul, hip hop and afrobeat influenced South London sound that continues to win him new fans wherever he plays.

He performs with an incredibly unique passion and energy setting an atmosphere in the place that makes you just watch with your jaw dropped to the floor enjoying the music he shares with you.

Below is a taster but trust me this guy is one to watch catch him here at this intimate venue while you still can destined for bigger stages.

The Streetfest Heats are back for the fourth year and once again we are looking for the best Unsigned talent to perform at this year’s Streetfest.

Last year saw was probably the toughest year to date with the judges finally deciding on Shaun Colwill, Julie Iwheta, ScruLove and Triple O as the successful winners of their heats to go through to perform on stage at StreetFest in front of hundreds of people at Tobacco Dock.

So what are we looking for? We are searching for artists with bags of talent & who can deliver an incredible live performance to capture the Streetfest crowds. If you think that’s you then we want to hear from you! X-factor rejects – this is not for you!

Send us an email telling us why you should be on our stage, with links to your music or poetry. We will then shortlist the best 12 acts to go to through to one of the 2 heats at London’s newest live music venue Stereo 92.

The best acts on each night as chosen by our panel of industry experts will be given a full slot on the Unsigned London stage at Streetfest 2016.

Yes peoples it is one month until the May bank Holiday weekend and once again Music is Remedy are proud to host the Unsigned London stage. Over the past 4 years we have had a diverse range of acts with the likes of Hollie McNish, Mikall Pane, Shakka, Dionne Reid, Tawiah, James Massiah and DivaGeek all joining us and giving incredible performances. This Year we have once again pulled together an incredible range of acts that do represent what it is Music is Remedy is all about good music.

Headlining this year will be one of the most hyped talked about collectives around at Present. The Mighty ORPH Gang will be closing the stage with 50 minute set of hype, quality and brilliance that if we had a roof would have been blazed alight! Also on the day there will be performances from Julie Iwheta, Cara Winter, Kai Jones, Ruinz Ason to name a few.
